Checking an assisted living facility in Georgia
Georgia licenses two main kinds of assisted living settings through the Department of Community Health’s Healthcare Facility Regulation Division: personal care homes and, for larger homes, assisted living communities. HFR’s Personal Care Home Program inspects both.
CMS does not inspect or rate assisted living, so there is no Care Compare page for it. Inspections, complaints and enforcement are handled by the state. Nursing home vs assisted living
